Sumo Style: Tactical and All-Around, Opportunity Opening/Taking Style
Knowing that he's not that large compared to the rest of the rikishi in the ASL. Brandon decided to push his style to being much more tactics and advanced compared to the average rikishi. Not focusing on one style but rather implementing as much as the young rikishi could into a very versatile style. Able to clash with practically anyone due to his overwhelming willpower and adept balance/speed. What he lacks in raw power and weight, he more than makes up with skill and willpower. And being rather risky with his style of sumo as well. Taking chances to figure out his opponent to a point of capitalizing on their weaknesses. Or even taunting them to make them open themselves wide open for a finishing move. Adept rikishi could outsmart Brandon if done right, however.

Personality: A rather determined rikishi when it comes to sumo matches and his own training. Wanting to push his ideals and dream as far as he possibly could. Given the fact being he managed to acquire a chance to prove himself in the ASL. Otherwise, he is as nervous of a rikishi as you can imagine. Very quiet and reserved. Usually wanting to do their own thing when it comes to downtime in between training and matches. And caring as can be. He would comfort and help any of his fellow rikishi as much as this young up-start can do for them. When the situation called for it, of course.

Backstory: Born in America in a relatively poor family, Brandon would be inspired to get into the sport at a young age. Basically...from randomly stumbling upon a few sumo matches from the various sumo organizations out there broadcasting said matches on the internet. And that stuck with him. Two large, determined as can be people battling it out in these rapid and intense bouts.

Soon after he saw those said sumo matches, he began to look into the actual sport of sumo properly for once. Since he would think about those matches a fair bit of the time. Due to the ever rising popularity of sumo in the world..finding that would be straightforward. Practicing at home seriously ever since middle school and joining a sumo team at high school helped the aspiring rikishi realize his style of sumo. And his ambitions as well.

Said ambitions included helping other rikishi as much as he could. Give them inspiration to keep on pushing through and enjoy the ASL for what it is! Even if other people oppose his ideals, Brandon would be determined to give it all he had to stick with said ambitions. On top of this, he truly wanted to impress his family in a positive way. Because of how poor they were, his family never had much of a chance to do much. Brandon..wanted to change that. Break the cycle and bring about hope. For the ASL and his family.

On top of this, Brandon managed to acquire a nickname for himself during his high school years. For some reason, which at the time he didn't understand fully, his coach gave him the nickname of Kibōnonami or Wave of Hope. His sheer willpower in those matches helped keep morale high in the sumo team throughout that time. So much so, it would constantly push them to national tournaments. Mind you, they never exactly won any of those tournaments due to the talent in America being so high at this point. But they would stay consistently at the top 8 in the entire nation. Because of this, the nickname stuck with him. Typically being called by "Kibo" by his friends due to how much he just inspires them from his actions in his training and whatnot.

Regardless of everything. Brandon is going to give it all he has to rise up the ranks to become Yokozuna in the ASL. Not necessarily for himself, however. Sure, he's always dreamed of becoming a sumo champion. But he's doing it for the fans. For the rikishi he trains with everyday. And for his family. All of that..to give them hope and inspiration.
